Grain Accounting Clerk

             
 
Eastern Farmers Cooperativehas an exciting opportunity located in Canton, SD.  We are looking for a full-time Grain Accounting Clerk.  The incumbent must be detail oriented with excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
 
 
Responsibilities: 
 

• Handle customer phone calls
• Truck scale operations
• Sampling grain
• Provide clear office communications, written and verbal
• Accounts Payable and Account Receivable
• Reconcile accounts and bills, and analyze discrepancies.
• Perform routine balancing, filing, and calculating
• Running Daily Position Reports
• Purchasing grain from producers
• Record keeping including sales tickets
• Create favorable image of Eastern Farmers Coop.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

 
 
Basic Qualifications:
 

• High School graduate
• Previous Customer Service experience
• 3 years A/P and A/R experience
• Computer – MS Office 2003 (Excel, Word)
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen

 
 
Preferred Qualifications:

• Agris accounting software
• 2 year Accounting degree
• Previous grain elevator experience
• Farming background/ understanding
