Eastern Farmers Coophas an opportunity for an
Elevator Operations Specialist located in
Canton, SD.
This position has opportunity for growth.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for all elevator operations, including:

Truck Scale operations as a primary focus
-
Handle customer phone calls
-
Record keeping including sales tickets
-
Customer service including general office duties and loading merchandise.
-
Unloading grain and loading trucks & cars
-
Willingness to worker inter-office and/or outside operations.
-
Sampling grain
-
Monitor and maintain quality of the inventory
-
Regular and periodic housecleaning processes and records thereof
-
Maintenance and records on all elevator equipment including legs, conveyors, grain dryer, vehicles, and all facility equipment
-
General work around the facility
-
Observe and enforce all company policies and procedures
-
Assure facility is in compliance with all state and federal regulations
-
Other duties as assigned by management.
Basic Qualifications:
-
High School diploma or GED
-
Must have or be able to obtain grain fumigation license and Current CDL with Hazmat endorsement, or obtain said licenses within 90 days
-
Must be able to pass DOT required physical and related drug test.

Ability to lift 50 lbs and climb rail cars, ladders, stairs & bins

Ability to operate loaders, conveyors, and tractors

Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
Preferred Qualifications:

Farming background
-
Grain handling experience
-
Elevator experience
-
Experience supervising employees
