ABOUT YOU
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
- Must be knowledgeable of OSHA safety requirements, especially those related to electrical and mechanical operations and components.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, have excellent attention to detail, and be willing and able to learn new technologies quickly.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, electro-mechanical and other mechanical devices.
- Understanding of mechanical systems; willingness to work with hand tools.
- Must be able to read schematics and diagrams.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work 40 hours per week, plus overtime when needed, with reliable and consistent attendance.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Must have good communication skills, with the ability to carry out written and verbal instructions.
- Intermediate reading and math are required.
- Must be comfortable working with computers and have strong measurement skills.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without sponsorship
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Temperatures may vary in accordance with weather conditions and may be extreme. Gates is managed in compliance with OSHA guidelines and requires all employees to wear steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
