Starting at $17.94/hr with $1.00/hr night premium when working from 6:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A sign-on bonus of $1500

DFA Pollock has an immediate opening for Production Worker. No experience required; training provided. This position will Monday - Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are normally scheduled off. Hours can vary slightly depending on production volumes.

The Production Worker is responsible for handling, packaging, and cleaning up cheese in a production facility.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

. Ability to handle 40-50-pound blocks of cheese

. Assemble, operate, and disassemble cheese production equipment in the packaging area

. Walk, bend, and stand for the duration of the shift

. Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues.

. Dedicate effort to safety as we expect every employee to leave work in the same condition as they arrive

. Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

. Exhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and sound judgment.

. Adhere to all DFA Quality, Safety and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity

. Attend required training, including but not limited to, Safety, GMP, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Safe Quality Foods (SQF)

High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

. Able to work with accuracy and attention to detail

. Must be dependable and reliable

. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

. Must have reliable transportation to and from work

. Must be able to take direction from Supervisory staff

. Able to work independently and as part of a team

. Most weekends and holidays off

. Must be able to read, write and speak English

Pollock is in a small community on beautiful Lake Oahe on the North and South Dakota border. The plant runs 24 hours 5 days a week and is a non-union plant that consists of around 40 employees.
