C & B Material Handling, LLC (part of the C & B Equipment family), a leader and supplier of choice in material handling equipment, automation solutions, and industrial equipment rental, is seeking a Material Handling Service Technician for our location in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This role is designed for a technician who thrives on ensuring the smooth operation of material handling equipment, providing top-notch service, and fostering strong customer relationships.

Essential Duties:

• Perform basic diagnostics and repairs on a variety of material handling equipment.
• Engage in training programs necessary for the development of skills and knowledge.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge on all our products.
• Keep a clean work area and conduct work in an orderly fashion.
• Manage the condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
• Load and unload equipment as requested.
• Promote and sell the service department's offerings to customers, including service work, inspections, and parts, to enhance customer safety and satisfaction.
• Mentor other service technicians with less experience.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines, ensuring a safe work environment.

• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. occasionally
• Knowledge of tools and techniques used to repair equipment
• Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Experience in operating vehicles and equipment, including those used for diagnostic purposes
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
• Previous material handling equipment operation and repair experience
• Willingness to travel on job assignments
• Associates or working towards a Diesel Technology degree or related field
• Ability to meet physical demands and duration of physical exertion generally required to perform tasks in support of all job functions, for example - sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling
