What you will be doing

Summary:

Under the direction of a Senior Manager or Director, the Engineer develops, tests, and deploys Visualization/SCADA solutions that cater to Cencora's Material Handling business requirements.

  • Assist with the development of displays and programming of SCADA clients/servers.

  • Assist with creating and modifying documentation of new and existing infrastructure.

  • Work with PLC functions, syntax, and other programming techniques to assist the SCADA group with the development, testing, and rollout of process control systems in support of user group requests.

  • Participate in the design, development, testing, and implementation of technologies to best meet the organization's cybersecurity needs.

  • Assist with creating and modifying documentation of the SCADA solution, standards, and training guides.

General Responsibilities:

  • Keep the management updated with accurate project and task information.

  • Participate in the solution life-cycle phases: requirements, design, development, documentation, integration, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

  • Assist with business intelligence initiatives and projects. Perform related duties as assigned.

What your background should look like

The candidate requires an understanding of Software solutions. Normally requires some training in fields such as business, project management, administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, and computer sciences generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires a minimum of two (2) years of directly related and progressively responsible experience.

Key Skills and Expertise:

  • Programming skills in SQL Server/Oracle required. Understanding SCADA concepts and functions is a must.
  • Experience with User Interface design and optimization is preferred.
  • Programming skills in Visual Studio/Java/Python experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Siemens and/or Allen Bradley PLC interfaces, syntax, and networking is a plus.
  • Experience with HTML and SVG files is a plus.
  • Experience with writing Test plans and user acceptance testing is a plus.
  • Demonstrated issue resolution, analytical and problem-solving skills, including debugging application code and interface messaging.

General Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with various levels within the organization (Technical and non-technical resources, external vendors, etc.).
  • Good interpersonal skills; effective team player.
  • Strong decision-making skills and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work on several initiatives, production issues, etc. while meeting committed development delivery dates and managing individuals/teams as required.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and consistently meet deadlines. Strong organizational skills; attention to detail.
  • Willing to travel up to 25% in a year.

$70,400 - 100,760

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
