Internship Project Summary
We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly motivated intern to support strategic analytics in the Commercial Operations area. An ideal candidate would be hardworking, curious, and insights-driven.

This internship program will require you to be in our Melville, NY office 5 days per week, working 40 hours per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Help shape analytical platforms and create reusable analytical components that support effective storytelling and collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Capturing stakeholder requirements to facilitate report design
  • Developing and deploying testing methods to validate data quality
  • Designing data visualizations for dashboards and reporting
  • Exploring emerging technologies to enhance and automate day-to-day processes
  • Utilizing data science tools and techniques to uncover business insights
  • In this role, you will be preparing routine and ad hoc data extractions from the data warehouse, providing scheduled and ad hoc reports, dashboards and analysis summaries.
  • Perform any other tasks/duties as assigned by management.

Education Requirements and Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, or a data analytics related field
  • Understanding of data modeling and analytics tools like Tableau, Power BI and SQL
  • Reporting and analytics design and development knowledge
  • Exposure to data analysis and problem solving with large amounts of diverse data
  • Basic fluency in SQL, Python or knowledge of relational databases and methods for efficiently retrieving data
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required including advanced formulas and functions
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate the results of analyses clearly and effectively
  • Descriptive, Predictive, and Prescriptive analytics development knowledge
  • Work and collaborate in a team environment
  • Must be detail oriented

Expected Hourly Rate:

$20.00 - $22.00
