About the Role:

This role presents an excellent opportunity to work on a collection of lending products including personal loans, lines of credit as well as developing new product offerings. In this role, you will be self-driven and passionate about lending economics and partner externally and internally to ensure success.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage, document and create credit risk policy for consumer lending portfolio.
  • Monitor and evaluate performance of loan portfolio by utilizing various statistical and analytical techniques, tools, and benchmarking to proactively identify risks and opportunities.
  • Develop underwriting strategies to maximize profitability while remaining within the bank's risk appetite.
  • Analyze opportunities for new product opportunities and provide analytical support for prioritization decisions and ultimately the growth strategy for the company.
  • Partner with the Legal, Compliance and Credit Governance team to ensure all strategies and policies are accurately documented and comply with all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with vendors and technology teams to ensure new strategies and models are implemented accurately and as designed.
  • Conduct other ad hoc analyses as required to support the Credit Team's goals.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Math, Economics, Finance, or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years of experience in credit risk management, preferably in the consumer credit industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with solid business acumen
  • Exceptional written and communication skills, and ability to explain complex insights to a range of audiences
  • Self-driven, with intense focus on results
  • Strong team player and comfortable interacting with partners across areas and at varying levels of seniority
  • Strong technical skills such as SAS, SQL, R/Python, and ability to independently access and analyze relational data sets
  • Knowledge and experience with statistical analysis techniques, customer segmentation and credit bureau data.
  • Experience with automated decision engine software, including strategy and custom scorecard implementations.

Salary range: $69,098.54 - $127,614.10

The salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this role. Individual pay within the range will be determined by multiple factors which can include but are not limited to a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary for your location during the hiring process. Ranges may be modified in the future.
