Job SummaryReporting to the Manager of Health Information and Coding and the Director of HIM. The Supervisor supports daily functions in accordance with regulatory compliance and practice management standards for the Critical Access Hospitals (CAH). Orient and educates physicians and allied healthcare professionals in the documentation and regulatory requirements necessary for accurate medical records and complaint practice management billing for Monument Health Critical Access Hospitals.

Education- Associates degree in the related field or one of the certifications below
Certifications- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) - American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA); or Certified Professional coder (CPC)- American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC); or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)- American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)- American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
