As our Substitute Teacher, you will teach core subjects, such as reading, writing, mathematics, and social studies at Boys Town School. You will be responsible for implementing instructional plans as provided by the regular classroom teacher, demonstrate a commitment to the use of a behavioral approach to motivate student learning, Incorporate social skills instruction into daily classroom activities and maintain a high level of professional competence via in-service education, self-selected professional education, and curriculum development. In addition, you will deliver instruction in an effective and efficient manner and support school-related extracurricular activities. You will demonstrate concern and respect for individual students and assume major responsibility for the academic /social skills growth of each student while interacting with various professionals and family members regarding individual student progress. You will be responsible to evaluate and report individual student progress to residential Family Teachers/parents while serving as a role model in carrying out the Boys Town mission.
