Position Summary

The ideal candidate will work with the Engineering staff to support projects, and will work as an entry level engineer doing tasks spanning all aspects of power-based operations which may include working on transmission modeling software, contract and project management, making process improvement recommendations, supporting requests from operations and maintenance. Classroom and/or technical experience in electrical circuits, machinery and/or power systems are recommended for this position. Familiarity with NERC Compliance Standards is a plus. Through practical experience and mentoring, the successful candidate will gain significant professional confidence and people skills.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be enrolled in an Electrical ABET accredited engineering program
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to communicate effectively; both written and verbally
• Must be self- motivated,have attention to detail, willing to learn, willing to take on challenging projects, and ability to work well with others

Preferred

• Course work in power engineering and an interest in the power industry desirable
• Knowledge in programming (Preferably in Python, VBA, C, C++)

• Experience with the Siemens PSSE software highly desirable

• Sophomore classification or higher
